Paige Poss' life-long love of horses led her to a degree in Animal Science at North Carolina State University. She went on to work as a research technician for leading scientists in the fields of biochemistry, toxicology, physiology, and nutrition. In 1999, Paige's journey into hoof care began with a laminitic horse. This lame horse led to a new career as a hoof care professional. Trimming hooves sparked her intellectual and scientific curiosity and evolved into a full-blown fascination with hoof and horse anatomy.

Blending her love of photography and anatomy, Paige has dissected and photographically documented hundreds of lower legs. Her passion is to create images that teach. Paige’s images and clinics give others the chance to explore the hoof in a supportive, creative, and encouraging format. Paige currently lives in Tucson with her husband, horses, donkeys, and dogs.

Paige created the website, www.ironfreehoof.com, back in 2003 but has since branched out to creating anatomy teaching materials with business partner, Jenny Edwards. Together we have created the website, www.anatomy-of-the-equine.com, equine distal limb books and posters, and are currently working on http://www.hoofcourses.com.
